Terms of Service

WaveMention provides tools to analyze publicly available social media data. The platform:

• Processes only publicly available data from social media platforms
• Provides analytics, metrics, and insights based on that data
• Does not host, store, or distribute original content (images, videos)
• Does not provide access to private accounts or restricted data

All data analyzed through WaveMention remains the property of the original profile owner and the respective social media platform. WaveMention provides derived analytical insights only and does not claim ownership over any content or data.

By using WaveMention, you agree that:

• You select which profiles to track and are responsible for those choices
• You configure your own dashboard and interpret data independently
• You use the platform lawfully and in compliance with applicable data protection laws
• You will only track profiles where you have a legitimate purpose and, where required by law, a valid legal basis
• You will not use insights from the platform to make automated decisions with significant impact on individuals
• You confirmed at signup that you have a legitimate relationship with the profiles you track

WaveMention is a tool. The customer is the data controller and bears responsibility for how the platform is used.

Customers may optionally request permission from individuals before including their profile. WaveMention provides the infrastructure to send consent requests and record responses on behalf of the customer. The customer remains responsible for determining whether consent is required in their specific context.

WaveMention does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or real-time availability of data. All insights are indicative and based on publicly available information retrieved at the time of scanning. Data may be outdated, incomplete, or subject to changes made by the originating platform.

Metrics, scores, and rankings generated by WaveMention are algorithm-based, non-absolute, and intended for informational purposes only. They should not be used as the sole basis for decisions affecting individuals.

Any individual whose public profile is included in the platform may request removal at any time via wavemention.app/check-my-profile. Upon a confirmed removal request:

• All data associated with the profile is deleted from our platform
• The profile is blocked from being added again by any customer

Customers must cooperate with removal requests processed through our platform and must not attempt to circumvent the opt-out system.

WaveMention relies on third-party social media platforms for data access. We are not responsible for API changes, access limitations, bans, or restrictions imposed by those platforms. Service interruptions caused by platform changes are outside our control.

WaveMention is not liable for:

• Decisions made based on data or insights from the platform
• Incorrect, incomplete, or outdated data
• Platform-related service interruptions
• Any damages arising from customer misuse of the platform

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

We reserve the right to restrict access, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are used in a manner inconsistent with the platform's intended purpose. We may also enforce fair use restrictions to ensure service quality for all customers.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised.
